After surfing all the web, finally here you are on the coasts, where the ancient Greek found a new colony: Selinunte. They left their homeland behind, full of hope and looking for a hospitable and fertile land that could accommodate them.

The inhabitants of Selinunte, were affected by major disasters: the violent conflicts with the Carthaginians and the neighbouring populations from one side, and the disastrous earthquake from the other, overwhelmed the resistance of the exhausted and desperate population.

Now, what remains of those ancient people, is a painful silence and only the massive archaeological ruins do justice to the brave deeds which in a short time, made powerful and rich the ancient civilization of Selinunte.
